Supply of books

If you’re a local school looking for an independent supplier of books for your students, then we’d be delighted to help. We offer competitive rates, often next-day delivery and the benefit of supporting a local independent bookshop.

Chat to Remony Hart, our children and young adult bookseller at remony@kemptownbookshop.co.uk. She is also happy to talk about curating your school library and can put you in touch with publishers for events.

School and group events

We support local schools and community groups by offering our upstairs events space at discounted rates for student events such as poetry readings. We can also offer informal class visits. We recently hosted a poetry evening with Longhill School and a ‘go behind the scenes at a bookshop’ event with the Brighton Girl Guides which were great fun.

Drop Remony a note to talk about what you need.

Work experience and volunteering

We are passionate about offering work experience to students in years 10 and above looking to gain experience of bookselling. We can also offer skills and volunteering placements for Duke of Edinburgh Award participants. Whether you’re a student or a school, just get in touch with Remony at remony@kemptownbookshop.co.uk to discuss.

We have a limited number of placements (we’re a small shop) so please get in touch sooner rather than later. For summer placements, this needs to be before Christmas.
